“Young Belgian art and architecture duo Pieterjan Gijs and Arnout van Vaerenbergh of Gijs Van Vaerenbergh have created a steel labyrinth for the C-Mine Art Center in Genk, Belgium. The C-Mine Art Center is a former coal mine[…] The maze encompasses one kilometer of paths within its 5-meter-high steel walls. As visitors meander through the corridors, geometric cut-outs reveal views of the surroundings and serve as points of orientation along the way.”
